Canopy Products Ltd Full Steam Ahead

The business was first established as Alan Scaife Joinery in 1964 when along with a partner (who moved on in 1967) traded as jobbing joiners. After a short time of working out of the back of a van gaining a large amount of experience, a search was started to find premises, this eventually resulted in finding our present works in Paradise! Ramsbottom a small Lancashire town nestling in the Rosendale valley with its own steam railway station and stone built shops. It was here that we made our first Gallows bracket in 1973, a long period of sub contract supply of joinery components to a major manufacturer then ensued.

In January 1998 we decided that we could offer a first class product and fast delivery service to builders and the general public with our wide range of stock canopy products and it was then we first advertised our products in the trade media and started direct nationwide distribution by carriers. The business has grown steadily since that first foray into sales. In 1999 we started to offer credit card facilities, this assisted the speed up of deliveries to site and the growth of the business.

The next step was to set up our first web site in 2001, this helped to give the company a wider market with sales in Europe and as far as America.

The present Limited company was formed on December 2nd 2002 continuing the policy of Quality Quickly and to that end a warehouse was acquired and set up with pallet racking in August 2003. We now offer a comprehensive nationwide service of over 150 stock products delivered next day. The directors now look to the future and the next 30 years.
