Technical Information

The gallows brackets are constructed as follows. The timber is European redwood, kiln dried. All joints are stop mortise and tenon 18mm & 22mm) wide. Glued with urea formaldehyde powder resin mixed with water and brush applied to tenons.

Gallows brackets over 100mm in cross section are twin mortise and tenoned.

Finish

Planed all round timber. All curved surfaces bandsawn, and spindle moulder planned to profile. Bevels are 10mm and 12mm across the flats. All seen surfaces are twice sanded (80s grit and 100s grit) sandpapers.

Assembly

Glued components hand assembled, pneumatically clamped. All joints secured with headless aluminium pins.

Treatment

Dip treated with Gasurit glassohyd natura base coat fungicide stain.

Packaging

Products banded, corner protected and cling film wrapped.

Delivery

Usually dispatched next day.

Calculations should be obtained to check the suitability of the product for your application.

The section of the materials is variable from 50mm x 50mm up to 175mmx 100mm depending on the gallows bracket. The following terms are used to describe the individual components.

Gallows bracket. 600 mm high 500mm projection.

Head or beam ex 75mm x 75mm in cross section.
Upright or post ex 75mm x 50mm in cross section.
Brace or gibbet ex 100 x 100mm in cross section.
