Swaekely Period Door Canopy

The Swaekely Canopies are high quality softwood joinery products, to our standard projection. This canopy is designed to take a rain-water gutter and downspout or a double facia board to project the tiles past the joinery components to discharge the rain water. Any length can be manufactured to your special requirements up to a maximum of four metres long. The canopy can receive tiles; slate or felt tiles and is dip treated with Honeysuckle, Glasurit Glassohyd natura base coat fungicide stain. The canopy is carried in stock at 1500mm long as standard. For the longer or shorter lengths of canopy allow 7 days from date of order. Extra gallows brackets may be purchased separately.

Technical Information

The canopy set consist of a pair of gallows brackets, a 9mm plywood soffit, pole and sole plates carries the rafters with a angled head and foot cut to fit a bevelled plates. The joints are glued and air gun nailed. Shaped bargeboards are air gun fixed to a shaped facia board and the sprockets are fixed through the soffit with air gun nails. When a double facia is used it is air gun fixed to the facia board and glued. The top of the gallows bracket is notched to receive the pole plate and is fixed to the perlin with 4 - 100mmm x 6mm screws. The pole plate should be fixed to the masonry with 100mm x 10mm sleeve anchors or 100mm x 10mm Chemical fixings.

Rafters are Ex 75mm x 50mm.
Perlin is Ex 75mm x 75mm.
Pole plate is Ex 125mm x 38mm.
Tilt fillet is Ex 75mm x 50mm split.
Sprockets are Ex 50mm x 50mm split.
Plywood soffits 9mm WBP.

Gallows Brackets are MSL45/T 1600mm high 700mm projection.

The Swakeley canopy is stocked in 1500mm wide only. All other sizes are to special order, please allow ten days to dispatch.
