G.R.P. Glass Fibre Products ~ Chatterton G.R.P. Canopy CHAT/FCO1R

The Chatterton eyebrow shaped door canopy is a glass reinforced plastic fabrication (G.R.P.) with a white UV resistant canopy body and duropolymer corbels with a grey lead look roof that is laminated onto with the canopy body. The corbels face fix with wood screws with white pop top caps and can be positioned where required. The canopy has a 90mm high up-stand to the masonry abutment and fixes to a curved 18mm plywood fixing ground with wood screws, white pop top caps and plastic plugs.

The Chatterton eyebrow shape canopy is a four-piece fabrication; the carcass section is a white one-piece hollow fabrication with an open back that fixes with wood screws and white pop top caps to the plywood fixing ground supplied. The grey lead look top of the one-piece carcass is laminated to the canopy body to make a one piece fabrication. The canopy has a 90mm high up-stand on the wall edge of the roof fabrication to receive a lead flashing or mastic seal. The Duropolymer corbel brackets face fix with wood screws and white pop top caps.


The method of construction.
The moulds are cleaned and prepared with release agent and then assembled. Double gel coats are brush applied. When the gel coat is cured 2 catalysed grey resin impregnated chopped strand are laid in the moulds and rolled to remove air. When the lamination's are cured
the moulds are split and the fabrications removed and trimed. The carcass and the roof are then laminated together to form a one piece open back fabrication. The corbels are injection moulded white duropolymer.
