Structural Timber Gallows Brackets
Our traditional timber, structural craftsman built gallows brackets are constructed from unsorted or if unavailable fifths red deal. The timber is planed all round all curved surfaces are bandsawn and spindle moulder planed to profile. All joints are mortise and tenon (19mm & 22mm) wide. All seen surfaces including curved surfaces are sanded 80 grit and 100 grit. The joints are glued with urea formaldehyde powder resin glue mixed with water and brush applied to the tenons. All our products are dip treated with Honeysuckle (light manila) colour, Glasurit Glassohyd natural base coat stain to give an envelope treatment that will give protection up to six weeks prior to paint or stain finishing. The product can be stained to light oak and darker colours. All our Gallows brackets carry a safe working load figure calculated at a factor of safety of six.
