Lancashire timber manufacturer demonstrates its confidence in quality, craftsmanship and durability with a new 10-year product guarantee.
Canopy Products Ltd has announced the introduction of a 10-year structural guarantee across its preservative-treated selected European Redwood timber door canopy range, reinforcing the company's commitment to manufacturing high-quality, long-lasting timber products.
Manufactured at the company's Lancashire premises, the timber canopy range combines traditional woodworking skills with modern manufacturing methods and carefully selected European Redwood.
All European Redwood used in the range is preservative treated to help protect the timber against wood-destroying and wood-discolouring fungi. When correctly installed, finished and maintained in accordance with Canopy Products' aftercare guidance, qualifying timber canopies will now benefit from the company's 10-year structural guarantee.

As part of the initiative, Canopy Products is also placing greater emphasis on customer education and aftercare.
European Redwood is a natural material and features such as knots, grain and colour variation, small shakes and seasonal movement can occur during its life. These are natural characteristics of real timber rather than necessarily being signs of product failure.
Customers are therefore provided with guidance covering correct storage before installation, suitable exterior finishes, routine inspection and ongoing maintenance to help maximise the appearance and service life of their canopy.
The company also sees the guarantee as an opportunity to highlight the environmental advantages of choosing timber.
European Redwood is a renewable construction material, with trees absorbing carbon dioxide as they grow and storing carbon within the timber. Canopy Products believes combining responsibly sourced timber with products designed for a long service life provides customers with an attractive alternative to less sustainable materials.
For projects requiring enhanced timber performance, Canopy Products also manufactures selected products using Accoya® modified timber.
Canopy Products provides a separate 15-year structural guarantee on qualifying Accoya® canopies manufactured by the company. This is separate from any independent warranty provided by the Accoya® timber manufacturer, which remains subject to the manufacturer's own terms and conditions.
